The South Carolina Genealogical Society is a non profit organization with several chapters throughout the state. Membership in the state society is included in the chapter membership fee. Hartsville, SC in the Old Hartsville Train Depot. The archives are operated by the Old Darlington chapter of the SCGS.
Their hours are 1-5 Monday and Friday, 10-3 Saturday and 2-5 Sunday. The archive is closed most holidays. Prospective visitors are encouraged to check the schedule at The Old Darlington Chapter USGS site for holiday closing information.
