Anyone have information concerning Davis Families in Old Sumter Distric/Clarendon County from early 1800s - early 1900s? Family information is hard to verify so far. If you have information concerning a Isaac J. Davis/or Isaac I. Davis who was born abt 1800 (possibly in VA according to 1850 census), married to Susan/Susannah. 1860 Census shows either I.J or J.J Davis as his name, living with Susannah in Clarendon, Packsville Postal Office. Family info states that part of larger Davis family in Manning, possibly related to a Col. Davis, or C. William (Willie) Davis who was a prominent attorney. Any help is appreciated!
