Treat Charleston County as a place hub: pin the event year, then pick the courthouse that held authority that year.

1. Write person + event + decade before searching.
2. Events before 1769 usually require parent/earlier jurisdictions (Original judicial district (settled 1670 as Charles Town)).
3. Census clusters → land/probate → church/cemetery/newspapers.
4. Use the neighbor panel on the county hub when results go cold.
