South Carolina Counties
As I am able I will add information and links specific to each county of South Carolina. The ultimate goal for these pages is fairly ambitious. It includes: brief summary of county history, highlight of historic events that took place in this county, points of interest in the county, genweb site for the county, census links, vital record links, tax transcriptions, cemetery links, etc. for each county, list of towns for each county. Further down the road I wouldn’t mind giving a one - two sentence footnote for each town, links to town websites. You will also find I’m starting to include some relevant news feeds on the county pages, these can give you an idea of “what’s going on” in the county these days.
